11 Cool Yet Cozy Winter Outfits I'm Stealing From French Girls
There's no doubt we admire French-girl style heavily here at Who What Wear—from their shopping must-haves to their go-to style uniforms. So when I was looking for inspiration for my winter wardrobe, I knew had to resort to my favorite Parisian Instagrammers for some cozy yet cool outfit ideas. Parisian girls are all about taking closet basics and making them chic. I love maximalist dressing, but when it comes to the colder months I tend to lean towards the minimal because going out into the cold already takes 90% of my motivation for the day.
After a little digging on the 'gram, I was successful in my search. Ahead, you'll find 11 outfits that I'll definitely be taking style notes from when dressing this for the colder weather. From staple puffers to furry coats, these looks will keep you warm and looking fashion-forward.
A black puffer is a fashion essential you'll rely on heavily this winter. I love how Najma styled hers with neutrals and a printed bag.
If I'm going to invest in anything soon, it's a Stand Studio faux fur coat. Pair your coat with a pair of classic jeans and printed boots for a standout outfit.
One of my friends who lives in Canada says the only way she survives the cold there is always keeping a scarf paired with her outfit for optimal warmth. The trick also happens to be french-girl approved.
You can't ever really go wrong with a blazer over your sweater.
As you can see, faux-furs are all the rage for cool winter dressing. Pair a short coat with flared denim to play around with dimension.
I've never been a fan of longer lengthed puffers, but this outfit is changing my mind. Opt for either leggings or jeans (whatever keeps you more comfortable) and a thick pair of Chelsea boots for a warm and functional ensemble.
If you don't want to leave your hoodies behind this season, don't fret. Add a patterned jacket and you've got yourself a perfect layered look.
If there's anything that french styling has taught me, it's that sometimes simplicity is best. Throw your favorite coat over sleek all-black pieces.
