All the Happenings in the World of Fashion and Sports Right Now
All in one place.

We're living in the golden age of sports and fashion. There have been glimpses of the two entities colliding in the past, but today, they're practically one. WNBA players are becoming a staple at Paris Fashion Week, NFL stars are donning editor-favorite Coach bags and limited-edition Birkins, Formula One World Champions are co-chairing the Met Gala, and brands—from LVMH to Skims—are getting in on all the action.
I'm here to keep the most interesting happenings in the world of sports and style straight, supplying you with the news you want to know. Think Lewis Hamilton's outfit credits in the F1 paddock and upcoming team and player brand collaborations that'll sell out if you don't act fast. Without further ado, let's get started.
Gucci Ambassador Jannik Sinner Takes Home His First Wimbledon Trophy
On the final day of Wimbledon, Italian Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz faced each other in a rematch of the 2025 French Open, and this time, Sinner took home the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy, and for the first time ever, no less. The Gucci global brand ambassador did so in style, too, and we're not referring to his play. (Though, that was certainly stylish as well.) His Wimbledon whites were all Nike, but when he walked onto Centre Court, the bag on his shoulder was clearly Gucci. It was an all-white duffel with the Italian brand's signature green-and-red strap, crafted by Head and designed by Gucci.
Two Industry Giants Come Together
WNBA player Paige Bueckers and NFL player Keon Coleman are among the four stars of Levi's new campaign with Nike, which celebrates the denim and sportswear giants' recent coming together. On July 11, their collaborative collection, featuring three new iterations of the Nike Air Max 95, was finally released to the public after being announced in late June. In addition to white/ecru, black, and denim 95s, there's also a trucker jacket and baggy jeans, both of which were worn by Bueckers, the first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. “In collaboration with Nike, we set out to craft an immersive experience that celebrates the shared legacy and forward-thinking spirit of both brands," said Leo Gamboa, VP of collaborations at Levi’s. "The opportunity to reimagine the iconic Nike Air Max 95 in honor of its 30th anniversary was a true milestone." According to Gamboa, combining Levi's signature denim with one of Nike's most renowned silhouettes, the duo created a "seamless fusion of sport and lifestyle—honoring the past while pushing the boundaries of design."
Comme Si's Now Making Socks for Sports
Fashion people are already well aware of the benefits that come with investing in good socks, particularly Comme Si socks, the brand founded by Jenni Lee in 2019. They feel like the epitome of luxury, for one, but also look consistently cool, whether you style your pairs with loafers or sneakers. And now, they're getting a sporty upgrade, meaning that you can finally throw away your granola-y hiking socks and bright-pink Pilates socks that you've worn with disdain for the last decade. There are socks for running, hiking, tennis, Pilates, skiing, and cycling, all of which come in a cool array of colors and styles that fashion people will run to purchase (and wear on repeat).
Introducing the Sabrina 3s
Sabrina Ionescu and Nike have done it again. The sneaker giant revealed the third iteration of one of its most popular basketball shoes, made in collaboration with the New York Liberty guard, on July 8. “The Sabrina 3 builds on the consistency we’ve established with Sabrina’s first two signature silhouettes while evolving the look and feel of the shoe to match her needs on the court and further reflect her personal story and style,” said the lead designer for Ionescu's line of Nike footwear, Ben Nethongkome, in a release. The 2024 Champion reiterated Nethongkome's statement. “I know every single basketball player who puts on the Sabrina 3 will continue to see and feel the work that we’ve put in to create the best performance shoe that we can,” she said. Aesthetics are, of course, important too. The team nodded to Ionescu's Romanian background, incorporating textile weaving and embroidery to the exterior of the shoe. “This shoe represents so much of me, from the vertical Swoosh that we’ve had since the Sabrina 1 to the design touches personal to me," Ionescu continued. "I hope it inspires all hoopers, especially young girls, helping them continue to break down barriers and believe in themselves.”
Nike's new Sabrina 3s will be available on July 24 at nike.com and selected retail locations.
Lewis Hamilton and Dior Focus on Afrofuturism in Latest Capsule Collection
After being announced as an official brand ambassador and guest designer for Dior in July 2024, seven-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton is back for another capsule collection with the French fashion house. This time, F1's resident fashion liaison focused his designs on Afrofuturism following a trip last summer to Morocco, Senegal, Mozambique, Benin, and Madagascar, according to WWD. The collection, which was released in stores on July 3, is "imbued with an aesthetic that fuses audacity and cultural heritage," according to a release from the brand. "This exceptional line pushes back the boundaries of performance and one's limits while seeking a lasting quintessence." The release continues on to detail some of the stylistic details, like silhouettes that blend "elegance and casualness" and specifically, jackets and coats that were created using a "unique approach to tailoring" with "fascinating fabrics." Dior's B44 Blade sneakers are also included, as are bags from the Dior Hit the Road collection.
Portland's Upcoming WNBA Team Announces Its Name and Logo
We don't have jersey designs for Portland's future WNBA team yet, but we did just find out from the returning franchise what its name and logo will be when it rejoins the league in 2026. For a short period of time in the early aughts, from 2000 to 2002, Portland had its own W team. The name? The Portland Fire. And though the original franchise didn't get the chance to experience success in the league, this new version of the Fire will, especially given the unprecedented popularity of the WNBA right now. “As a city that has long championed women’s sports, Portland is ready to reclaim its place in the WNBA and reignite its connection to the game on the world stage,” said Clare Hamill, Portland Fire Interim President, in a release. The team's logo, which will adorn the expansion team's future jerseys, combines a flame (similar to its former logo) and a rose, representing Portland's nickname, the City of Roses. “We are thrilled to complete the journey of bringing professional women’s basketball back to the Rose City, while honoring the legacy of the original franchise to blaze a new, bold path forward,” Hamill continued. Fire red, brown, blue, and pink will be its colors when play begins at Oregon's Moda Center arena in 2026.
BWT Alpine Formula One Team's Collab With Perfect Moment Is Going Viral—and Coming Soon
Get your preorders in now for Perfect Moment's forthcoming collaboration with F1's only French team, BWT Alpine. The collection, designed by the French luxury skiwear brand, includes just seven items, with the star of the show being a slim-fitting, white leather jacket with the team's pink-and-blue color palette featured in the form of racing stripes along each of the arms and across its front. The outerwear essential gained viral status when it was worn by BWT Alpine driver Pierre Gasly's girlfriend, model Francisca "Kika" Cerqueira Gomes, at the British Grand Prix earlier this month. (Gasly also wore the collection on the same day. Though, he chose a white-and-navy T-shirt, styled with jeans.) The same jacket was also seen on the team's other driver, Franco Colapinto. According to Perfect Moment, the unisex jacket costs $1510 and will be in stock on September 21.
