5 Rich-Looking Accessories I'm Copying From Chic Scandi Women

In the big wide world of style inspiration, I'm not sure anyone does cool minimalism better than the Scandinavians. Looking at my saved posts on Instagram, it's clear I've accidentally fallen into Scandi-fangirl territory in all areas of my life—a perfect gold hairpin from Lié Studio, a striped burgundy rug from Nordic Knots, the ideal slim bag from Totême to carry my laptop (that I finally bought last week—I'm so happy for me). And so it goes on.
By now, the algorithms definitely know to serve me up endless covetable outfits from fashion people in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo—and what's been jumping out at me lately are the chic accessories Scandinavian fashion people rely on to elevate their low-key looks. So if easy elegance is your vibe this winter, please treat yourself to a scroll through this little roundup of accessories that have the knack of making even the simplest winter outfits feel a little bit luxe.
Cozy Hats
If you're up for a (slightly bougie) alternative to your average knit beanie, a cozy hat in faux fur or shearling makes for a very chic alt. Toteme's pillbox hat is the one to know, but Zara's faux-shearling style is a great option for under $50.
Belts
Classic belts are naturally a year-round staple, but they're particularly relevant this season—I've been spotting a resurgence of belted outerwear, elevating everything from winter-weight blazers to long wool coats.
Leather Opera Gloves
Leather—or leather-look—gloves of any length immediately make a winter look feel more elegant, but I'm personally here for the drama of an opera-length glove. (Fringe is optional but definitely encouraged.)
Kitten-Heel Boots
Finding classic black ankle boots with just the tiniest of kitten heels, a pair that you can run around in all day that are *so comfortable* you find yourself reaching for them on repeat without a second thought—this is truly the hack to elevating all your everyday denim looks.
Bowling Bags
Retro-inspired bowling bags are having a moment. Typically a little bigger than your average shoulder bag, but smaller than a tote, they're ideal for schlepping all your bits and pieces without looking like you're heading to the office.
