If there's one thing my inner circle knows about me, it is that I take Memorial Day sales seriously. Ahead of the sales, I like to take stock of my favorite retailers and compile a virtual cart of sorts with all the pieces I have been eyeing. I do this so that I can quickly see which deals apply to my top picks, make a final call, and check out before things sell out.

In anticipation of this year's Memorial Day deals, I'm starting a little earlier than usual so that all I'll have to do is add some final touches and be ready to go the day sales start. This is especially handy to avoid losing focus. Plus, it helps eliminate regrettable impulse buys that come with daunting returns.
