I Live in NYC—This Is the It Bag Every Fashion Person Is Wearing
When something starts popping up in niche ways—like on TikTok, at Pilates, or in my friend's suitcase back from Seoul, Korea—I can't help but notice. That's literally what happened with MargeSherwood bags.
The first time I noticed one was in an unboxing video from micro-influencer Izzy Woods (honestly, one of my favorite ways to find emerging designers). That was all it took for me to want one—I immediately loved the simplicity and shape. Since that video, I've seen even more people on TikTok getting into them too.
Then, I saw someone carrying one after a workout class. Then again at The RealReal store in Brooklyn. And most recently, a friend showed me one picked up on a trip to Asia. At a certain point, it stops feeling like a coincidence.
After looking into it, I realized the Korean accessories label has been around since 2016. It was started by Sungeun Um and Soonyoung Kim, and the name is a reference to Gwenyth Paltrow's character in The Talented Mr. Ripley. As someone who also loves that movie, that detail only made me more into the brand. Whether you're just discovering them or already obsessed, you can get MargeSherwood on Ssense, Revolve, Farfetch, or directly on its website.
