Not to dwell on the situation but, gosh, we missed M&S when its online shopping went dark recently after that cyber attack. You know us Who What Wear editors love a bit of expensive-looking high street shopping and we were pretty lost without one of our go-tos. Honestly, it made us realise just how much we rely on M&S for great quality buys at affordable prices, from wardrobe classics to more trend-led pieces. Especially the footwear, which we’ve always raved about (comfy, cheap and chic, what’s not to love?) So, with summer in full swing and the retailer's online shopping back up and running, it's time to do a deep dive into the key shoe trends M&S is nailing for summer 2025 and beyond.

There's plenty of classic strappy sandals (a summer staple, of course) and some really beautiful (and comfortable) heels that will have you covered for every dressier occasion in your calendar. Personally, I love the brand's classic ballet flats for everyday wear (they always sell out super fast)—I'll be wearing mine well into autumn with jeans, too. If you prefer your footwear to make more of a statement, they've got some seriously cute jelly shoes (yep, they're back) and animal print styles. But I think my favourite summer shoe trend M&S are indulging in for 2025 is elevated woven detailing, seen on everything from wedges to flat pumps. It's a surefire way to elevate any simple summer outfit.
