Saint Laurent Just Confirmed the #1 Trend to Invest In for Summer

We've hit peak anticipation for the summer months ahead with plans for vacations underway, as well as new shopping arrivals that will land in our suitcases. Inspiration is appearing especially with the release of Saint Laurent's "An Ordinary Day" campaign that reimagines everyday summer moments through the lens of Martin Parr and the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello. It predicts a summer wardrobe that taps into the Rive Gauche style that Yves Saint Laurent himself brought to the Left Bank of Paris in the 1960s.
In the collection, the French fashion house was inspired by Saint-Tropez with designs that capture the allure of the South of France. Bags are finished in metallic brocade in shades of fuchsia and jade. Shoes are executed in dramatic wedge silhouettes with gold-plated sculptural heels. Cuff bracelets are designed with hammered metal and set with vibrant cabochon gemstones. In essence, the pieces showcase the number one trend to invest in for summer 2025: opulent maximalism. The dramatic, eye-catching pieces tap into a sense of unbridled extravagance we've been predicting a comeback for in the fashion space, appearing on the runways. And what better way to elevate the everyday look? Ahead, see more from the campaign and shop the Saint Laurent summer 2025 collection.
