While we're still in the throes of winter, my mind is looking forward to what the months ahead have in store. Sartorially speaking, I'm especially excited for the fresh trends and items that will give my outfits a fashion-forward touch in 2025. The S/S 25 collections are a huge indicator of what we have to look forward to, and after analyzing the runways in depth, I'm particularly drawn to some of the more wearable styles that I can incorporate into my everyday outfits but also very clearly say 2025! Think fresh color trends, such as powder pink and butter yellow; check prints presented in fresh and exciting ways; and romantic soft and sheer fabrics in ethereal shades. Fresh Colors
The color wheel pointed to a whole host of refreshing pastels on the S/S 25 runways, in particular more grown-up versions of powder pink and pretty butter yellow shades backed by designers such Chanel, Khaite, Alaïa, and Toteme. I'll be buying them in lightweight fabrics that are sure to complement my neutral wardrobe.

We saw a resurgence of checks, plaid, and gingham on the spring runways but with a slightly softer look to them, many styled in fresh and interesting ways. At Tod’s, checks were playfully worn inside out as a full ensemble, ACNE Studios played with clashing check prints, and The Row showed us a minimalist-approved take on mixing prints. However you style it, plaid is perfect for those craving a little more personality from their outfits.

Slim-Fitting Trousers
Slim-fitting trousers are stealing the spotlight in 2025. Designers brought forth some chic iterations on narrow tailoring—from the slouchy straight-leg silhouettes spotted on the runways at Miu Miu and Loewe to the slim-fitting styles that flared at the ankle and puddled over shoes at Sportmax and Tod's. Expect to see fashion-forward slim silhouettes on a feed near you.

Double Denim
It's impossible not to take note of the copious denim-on-denim outfits that ruled on the spring 2025 runways. From the loose and easy denim blouses and wide-leg jeans at Rachel Comey to the matching midi skirts and denim jackets at ACNE Studios, 2025 is officially the year to lean into a double-denim look. I'll be buying a matching denim set to keep my look streamlined.

When it comes to jackets I'm buying in 2025, a sporty silhouette is high up on my wish list thanks to a whole host of designers bringing us outerwear with a sporty sensibility. Think reimagined wind breakers, as spotted at Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta, a whole host of fitted zip-up jackets at Gucci, and oversize quarter-zip technical jackets at Zimmermann.
