COS Has Just Delivered the Perfect Pair of Spring Trousers

When you're searching for the perfect version of a certain wardrobe basic, it can come down to the smallest of details: the curve of a neckline, the exact shade of blue or the way a hemline grazes your calf just so. Well, this has definitely been the case in my recent search for the perfect pair of spring trousers.

Despite being a confident dresser, I find that I struggle during the warmer months, and it doesn't exactly help that I don't wear many dresses. My thinking was that I'd just live in loose beige trousers, white T-shirts and chunky sandals for most of the summer. However, this meant finding a pair of beige trousers that didn't look like I had just stepped out of a university sports club social.

So what was I looking for? I wanted a wide, slouchy leg; ever so slightly low-slung waistline; and a pale shade of beige (as darker hues can be harder to style). Conveniently, I have found a pair from COS that literally fulfils all my criteria. The trousers come in a premium silk fabric, which is sure to drape beautifully, and feature a clever hidden button adjustment in the waistband, which allows you to make the fit more or less high-waisted. They honestly could be mistaken for a designer buy. I plan on wearing them low slung with a loose linen shirt or higher on the waist with a basic tank top. Summer dressing just got so much easier.
