I'm a 22-Year-Old Fashion Editor and Swear by These 6 Stylish Brands

Since I landed my job here at Who What Wear a few months after graduating college, I've been revamping my wardrobe to carry me into my next phase in life. Since we're still working from home, I haven't gotten too carried away with the shopping, but have been shifting my focus on investing in pieces that fit my new job and lifestyle, all while trying to stick to a budget and not (completely) break the bank. 

While in college I ran after what was affordable and trendy, post-graduation I've spent more time thinking through each purchase, and before I hit the "check-out" button, I reflect on if it's something I'd want hanging in my closet or if it's something that would end up collecting dust after being worn once or twice. In my journey, the brands below have been what I've been relying on recently to create a chic and polished work wardrobe that still meets my levels of comfort, style, and price-point. You're probably familiar with them, but they're well-loved for a reason. They're just that good, and I'll be sticking to using them throughout my 20's.

Aritzia

I love Aritzia for its special basics that I know I'll turn to time and time again. The brand's SuperPuff has been a lifesaver in the cold, and the Melina pants constantly sell out for a good reason.

Reformation

I've been living in Reformation's loungewear, and wash after wash they still retain their softness and quality. They know how to make pieces that are not only trend-forward but elevated enough to be considered timeless in my closet.

Lisa Says Gah

Whenever I'm looking to splurge on a fun piece or a one by a smaller designer, I look to Lisa Says Gah. Every piece I've bought from them is so special to me and brings me joy whenever I wear it.

I may not have the money to buy a brand-new designer bag, but that doesn't mean I can't do a deep dive search on vintage options. Vestiaire Collective has been my favorite. I landed my dream Gucci Jackie bag on the site for under $300.

Zara

This is a no-brainer. I try not to shop at Zara too often because it can be addicting with the constant drops, but when I really fall in love with a trend that I want to incorporate into my wardrobe, I turn to the retailer. Plus, the pieces I've bought from Zara have held up in my closet for years, so I know it won't be something I'll have to replace soon. 

Levi's

I used to hoard jeans like no tomorrow, but now I have a few that I rely on and my most recent purchases have been Levi's. They're one of the few pairs of jeans that fit me in all the right places, hence why I keep going back to them for my outfits.
