Yes, a 2000s Supermodel Is Hiding on Zara's Website

Like every other fashion editor, I was doing my daily (nay, hourly) scan of Zara's website when I found a pretty plaid dress I considered buying. After scrolling through the images and checking out the sizes, I suddenly realized it was not your average model showing off the dress: It was none other than my favorite 2000s supermodel Carmen Kass. She doesn't appear in the brand's campaign or on its Instagram, but you're in for a real treat when you sift through Zara's new arrivals.
If you're not familiar with Carmen Kass, I'll attempt to summarize the 39-year-old's major accomplishments: She walked for Chanel Couture in her very first runway season; has at least 10 worldwide Vogue covers to her name, including two American Vogue covers before she turned 22; and walked in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show from 1999 to 2008. In other words, Zara is pretty lucky to have the supermodel on its site. Scroll down to shop the pieces she's modeling and revisit her career milestones.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern in 2011—back when the site only published a single story per day. (We have since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC and lives in Los Angeles. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2015, where she is now the Associate Director of Fashion News. From the Oscars to the Met Gala, she leads the site's entire red carpet coverage strategy. She specializes in celebrity and fashion news but also enjoys writing travel features and runway reports. She frequently contributes to WWW's social accounts and has a sizable following on her personal TikTok.
