How hot is it in New York City right now? Let's just say Emily Ratajkowski took scissors to her maxi dress to turn it into a mini. (Can you blame her?) Meanwhile, however, Blake Lively seems to be in her own climate. Photographed leaving her NYC hotel, Lively didn't just wear a pantsuit in the sweltering August heat. She wore a head-to-toe velvet, three-piece version by Brunello Cucinelli, complete with two jackets layered on top of each other. Let's hope she was en route to somewhere extremely well air-conditioned.
As soon as the temperatures drop, you can bet we'll also be testing out the velvet trend.
