Amazon Has a New Fashion Line, But You Only Have One Day to Buy It
Amazon's The Drop has finally, well, dropped. In May, the massive online retailer announced a new fashion endeavor, one built on the rising hype around limited-edition collections. The aptly named line will release new street style–inspired collaborations designed by different global influencers on a regular basis. Amazon's teased that we can expect future collections from Emi Suzuki, Sierra Furtado, Leonie Hanne, and Patricia Bright, just to name a few.
This past week, Paola Alberdi of Blank Itinerary was announced as the inaugural influencer, but Amazon kept mum about the exact drop date. After some anticipation, the collaboration finally launched this afternoon. True to Amazon's DNA, the collection is a haven for budget-minded shoppers, with none of the items surpassing the $60 mark. While simple, the 13-piece capsule does stay close to Alberdi's own aesthetic. She's even covertly peppered a few of the pieces into her looks over the last month. The collection is mostly made up of neutrals with a few pops of color, lots of summer-ready linen, and basic silhouettes that can easily find a home in any closet.
The caveat? Alberdi's collection will only be available via the Amazon app or your mobile browser for 30 hours. All items will be unavailable to shop by Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. ET. The good news is all of the items will be made to order, ensuring nothing sells out before you can check out.
In tandem with the influencer collabs, Amazon will also be launching Staples by The Drop, a selection of wardrobe basics mean to complement the influencer-designed collections. The Staples by The Drop line will be available to shop at all times.

Ray Lowe is a contributing editor for Who What Wear. She's spent the last decade living in New York, but now that she professionally works from home, she's slowly been going back to her roots by splitting time between NYC and L.A. A year ago, she left a four-year stint as a fashion editor for Refinery29 to explore the freelance life. Nowadays, she does just about everything from penning online articles (for Who What Wear, Refinery29, Elle, Cosmo, and many more) to writing scripts, styling, and finding ways to fuse her love for both Disney and fashion. Her main beat is fashion (trends, emerging brands, affordable finds, you name it), but you may find her dropping in with a beauty story every now and then. As for her personal style, she'd best describe it as a balanced blend of basics and contemporary trends, often with a dash of Mickey Mouse thrown in for good measure. In her spare time, she can be found coddling my pets (a French bulldog and a rescue cat), curating travel itineraries for her friends, scrolling through Instagram for up-and-coming brands, and watching so-bad-they're-good films.
