This is a time of year for drowning in layers of knitwear, setting up camp on the sofa and receiving endless emails about Christmas sales offers. But at the same time, brands are quietly starting to drop their S/S 20 collections, and so you'll find that new-in sections are populated with as many Bermuda shorts as they are chunky jumpers. The luxury brands tend to transition into a new season first, and so I've combed through MatchesFashion, Net-a-Porter and Harvey Nichols to find the best new-in pieces to consider for 2020.
Let's start with the handbags—on my list below you'll find a beautiful canvas and tan leather handbag by Valentino, a gathered pouch bag with a shoulder strap by Bottega Veneta and a leather yellow mini bag from Rejina Pyo with a beautiful bow strap.
